12:20 pm - N-Dimensional Ataxx
There is a fabulous two-person, zero-sum game of perfect information
called Ataxx. You can still find it in some cool arcades, in 7th
Guest, and around the net.

The game is two dimensional. Reducing the game to one dimension leaves
it pretty trivial. It gets a bit space prohibitive to play it in too
many dimensions because the game degenerates rapidly if the board isn't
at least seven spaces in each dimension. But, the three and four
dimensional cases are easy to render on a computer screen.

We at nklein.com would love to see this go some where, but we've got
other vegetables to fry at the moment. So, if you want it, go for it.

Here is the source code for a pretty good start. It needs to be
prettied up a fair bit and needs a computer opponent.

As with all things from nklein.com, you're free to use it however you
like. So is everyone else. Have at it. We wouldn't mind credit or
cash, but we expect neither. It's all highlighted in our copyright
notice
.
